one of the areas we specialise in, before carrying out a consumer unit upgrade we recommend doing an electrical installation condition report to the property first, this is a bit like an mot on a car but instead on the electrical installation of your house. For the consumer unit to work correctly and do the job its designed to do safely any existing faults or defects on the existing installation would need to be rectified first, by carrying out a test of the property prior to installing the consumer unit will ensure this and help to avoid any unexpected cost from previous faults you may not have been aware existed. Consumer unit upgrades require part P building control notification and an electrical installation certificate. Currently in the Oadby&Wigston area we have been called out to countless consumer units that have not been correctly installed and have caused major problems please be aware of this and don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries.
As well as domestic installations we carry out a large variety of commercial work, DHL eastmidlands airport, IBIS hotel, McCarthy&Stone, Leicestershire Schools and Gyms are some examples of places we regularly work at.
A lounge recently completed in Wigston with smart LEDÂ control lighting something that is becoming increasingly popular offering excellent effects at affordable prices. This kit even allows music to be played along side with speakers hidden in the ceiling bulkhead and the lights will change colour to the rythemn of the music.
A fun project to work on but we still enjoy installing light pendants and decretive light fixtures so if you have recently purchased new lights and need someone to install them just give us a call.
This was installed on a job in Oadby that we rewired, we only install 18th edition boards with rcbo and surge protection as standard, we do not fit the cheaper dual RCD boards. Fusebox is our preferred manufacture and we can't recommend them enough!
